While Kenshin continues his training with Master Hiko, the Oniwaban Group are in trouble. In Kyoto itself, Aoshi finds himself having to choose between his revenge and his old friends. Okina is determined to stop Aoshi to protect Kenshin and the rest of the Oniwaban Group, and the two meet to decide their fate with blades. Misao having learned of Aoshi’s need for revenge, realises she must find them and stop them before she loses either her mentor or the man she loves.
