Yahiko gets involved with a young girl named Sanjou Tsubame who is being used by a group of thugs to steal keys to households. Yahiko tries to stop them from using Tsubame, but he is beaten badly because he was out-numbered. After his defeat, he asks Kenshin if there were any techniques to fight multiple enemies, and Kenshin replies by giving him a strategy.
