The Handsome Swordsman

During the Bakumatsu in the mid-1850s, a legendary manslayer feared far and wide for his sword skills, Hitokiri Battousai, existed. Ten years later, in Tokyo, rumors are circulating about a man called Hitokiri Battousai, who is terrorizing the citizens. Kaoru Kamiya, a local dojo owner, wants to take him down, and when she finds a person she believes is him, she attacks. However, he is only a wanderer, Himura Kenshin. After clearing things up, she finds out that he actually is the real Battousai, but that he has made an oath not to kill anymore. Therefore, someone else has to be the man from the rumors. But who is it that is terrorizing the citizens using his name, and what is his motives for doing so?
I love this series, the contrast between the comedy in this and the seriousness in samurai x is a great deal but they are both good and link together well, its good no matter which you watch first

We had problems with the server and most of the content was lost. We are still loading the rest of the videos, which should be done in about a week… we have completed only 20 so far.

Teh episodes won’t come up. There is about 4-5 episodes that have an x in the top left hand corner. It did work abiut 2 days ago, 3-29-09. I love this website and would love 2 continue 2 c it come back on.

if you have the latest java pug-in and mozilla you should be able to watch the videos comfortably. A decent internet connection will also be helpful in loading the videos….
oh, and Veoh does not show in selected countries
This is the best series I have ever seen. I love everything about it. I like how silly it can get with the expressions they show, but when it comes down to business, the seriousiness of Kenshin can be felt!

Awesome anime. Just finished watching the entire thing. Took forever, but it was well worth the effort.
I was a bit dissapointed that the series didnt go on to the whole kenshin v. enishi and the whole part of his past. i did enjoy the saito and shishio parts, though. the voices also seemed to fit the characters well. as far as following the books- i give it a 5 of 10. it definately went down another path after the battle with shishio.
but it was a great series, nonetheless.
